Can I use
images from the web?
Can
I use images from the web?
Most
images taken directly from the web are not suitable for screen-printing,
they are too small in size and resolution resulting in jagged or pixel
edges when increased in size, (web images are mostly only a few cm wide)
To check, print the image out to the size of your finished print, this
will show the quality of the finished image.
We can re-do images using a vector art program, this involves
re-building the image, once an image has been vectored it can be
enlarged to any size and maintain crisp sharp edges. Depending on the
size of your order
there may be some art charges.
You may wish to use our free clip art images to find an
alternative. These are high-resolution images perfect for screen-printing Click

Art
From Disc:
Our
company uses Corel Draw version 11 ( or lower ) for PC and Adobe Photoshop You
may email these files directly to us.
Please do the following before you email your art.
Corel
1) Convert
all the text to curves,
this is because we may not have your font on our system and by converting
the text to curves you change the Text to a Graphic Object.
2) If you are using a later version of Corel than 11 please save the file
as a VERSION 11.
Photoshop
and Photo paint or other bitmap images for solid line art should be saved as a
300dpi RGB. If your design is solid line ( flat colours ) try to avoid using Anti-Alias or Feathering as this muddies the edge
definition and can cause separation problems. We can fix these but this an
take time.
In Photoshop go IMAGE > IMAGE SIZE (settings as below before you start
your art. Note the
(Resample Image: is set to
Nearest Neighbor)
Uncheck the Anti Alias box when using the drawing tools to give a sharp
edge.
Tip: Use the Pen tool rather than the Brush tool, this gives a sharper edge.

Our design has shading and quit a
few
colours. Can you reproduce this effect?
Yes, there are 2 methods we use for
this type of printing, Indexed Colour and Simulated Process colour.
Both these processes use dots to produce shading similar to newsprint
images the dots being larger.
Below is an example of an indexed colour print in several colours on a
black T-Shirt.

One colour: White

Two colours: White and Red

3 colours: White, Red and Yellow

4 colours: White, Red, Yellow and Blue.
